Son yıllarda teknolojinin gelişmesi ile birlikte konum tabanlı sistemlere yönelik çalışmalar artmıştır.
Uydulardan gelen verileri kullanan GNNS (Global Navigation Satellite System) teknolojisi temelli
Upon the advancement of technological developments, studies on location-based systems have
increased. Methods based on GNNS (Global Navigation Satellite System) technology, which use data
from satellites, are actively used in many outdoor positioning applications today. However, alternative
methods are used in indoor positioning systems in indoor areas. In the literature, studies have been
carried out for indoor applications using wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In this
paper, the methods used in current indoor positioning systems, the application of machine learning
methods to indoor positioning technology and the importance of indoor positioning are discussed. In the
experimental study, the performance of trilateration and MLP (Multi-Layer Perceptron) methods was
compared using Bluetooth technology in an area of 30 m2. Within the framework of the experimental
study, the average absolute position error was calculated as 1.93 m for the trilateration method and 1.23
m for the MLP method. As a result, it has been observed that the machine learning algorithm is more
successful in indoor positioning systems than the traditional trilateration method.
