Abstract:

Thoracotomy is among the most painful surgical procedures and can cause severe pain. Postoperative pain can cause many complications. Therefore, pain management is important in patients undergoing thoracotomy. For this purpose, ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and systemic analgesics are used for thoracotomy pain. In post-thoracotomy pain management, an evaluation of effectiveness will be made by comparing the effectiveness and complications of thoracic paravertebral block and serratus plane block on postoperative pain. Since the epidural spread of thoracic paravertebral block is more effective, postoperative pain effectiveness is expected to be more effective.
