Artificial Intelligence
is taking the place of human being. It is aimed to think and act humanly as well
as rationally. However, one question still remains in the heart of such an
affirmation. How far can Artificial Intelligence go and how much can it manage
to do that? This course is aimed to
investigate the role of the artificial intelligence as a medium of literary
analysis and communication producing meaning in literature and other forms,
mainly through creative writing (fiction & nonfiction), painting,
photography, music etc. Another goal of this course is not only to determine
the role of human being in the AI creations but also to investigate the role of
AI as an apparatus to better human creations.
It is expected to create a platform for students to be more familiar
with AI, discuss the new ethics and values co-created with this technology,
explore new ways of AI analysis that can co-work with the traditional methods and
give opportunity to students to examine/criticise writing, visual etc. samples by
machine, professional writers/artists and their peers. There will be fiction
and non-fiction writing assignments for AI and students.
