One of the most important problems of our time is global warming. This is actually caused by greenhouse gas emissions. The main reasons for this are the exhaust emissions released into the environment as a result of the combustion of fossil fuels used in motor vehicles. In order to reduce these vehicle emissions, electric and hybrid models are becoming more common. Bringing innovation to these developing models is important for the world economy and the environment and human health. However, the fact that both the battery capacities are not large enough and the cost is high means that they will be widely used in heavy-duty motorized vehicles in the coming years. As we know, in order to minimize local and global emissions from motor vehicles, which is one of the most fundamental problems of our age, it is important to make the engine run more efficiently and reduce fuel consumption, and for this, waste heat utilization is becoming an important development. The goal is to convert energy loss through exhaust into useful energy through the Organic Rankine Cycle. Briefly, the potential of converting the energy that the engine exhausts during a given trip into useful energy through the vehicle model will be investigated. The selection and calculations of the system equipment will be determined according to the type of fluid to be used in the cycle and the turbine heat (useful work) changes to be obtained will be observed. Finally, by working on all assumptions within the scope of the project, the conditions under which it can be efficient will be analyzed on the GT-SUITE program to ensure that the efficiency and power values are at the optimal level.
