Trolls, as the disruptive actors of social media, are mentioned most often by making others laugh or angry.In parallel with social media being a part of our life, the concepts such as "troll" and "trolling" gain places in colloquial language. Therefore, the concept of troll has recently become a subject of academic studies.The main purpose of this study, which focuses on the concept of troll, is to understand the nature of trolls' humor by analyzing the trolls' entries. In this context, the concept of troll is analyzed in relation to the social media platforms' carnivalesque atmosphere for an in-depth inquiry. This study is based on Eksi Sozluk which is an online interactive dictionary. In the study, the titles including "actual purpose" which have over 150 entries and whose trolls haven't escaped by deleting the entries, are examined by content analysis. Therefore, the aim is to understand these trolls' performances and the responses of other writers to these entries. As a result of this study, through the flexible carnivalesque atmosphere of this platform, which enables trolls a free movement area, it is seen that a set of issues which stimulate the nerve endings of society, especially the masculine discourses against women, were regarded negatively by other writers, so they generally declined to participate in the carnival.
