Özet

In this study, the end-milling machinability characteristics of carbon fiber reinforced laminated composites was investigated. The composite contained 28 plies and the layup was [90, (+45/-45)(3), (-45/+45)(3), 90](s). The matrix material was epoxy and the fiber volume fraction was 63%. Four-flute carbide end mills were used in the experimental study, which had a 30 deg helix angle and an 11.11 mm diameter The cutting forces in the X, Y and Z directions were measured using a Kistler force dynamometer.
