Özet

Human hearing is an important and finely discriminatory sense. Evaluation of an audible form of a data pattern, in addition to its original numerical form, will provide increased comprehension. Highlighting the impact of a buried feature with an audible form helps about interpretation how data is distributed and assimilated. In this study, we present an application to transform GPR data to audible form. The main purpose of this study was to present an evaluation of GPR data with its audible form in addition to the amplitude-time function. In order to succeed this, we built an experimental sandbox model made of wood. The polyoxymethylene (POM), commonly named polyacetal pipes with air, water, and ice fill were buried to 11 cm depth in the sand box and perpendicular to the measurement direction. The GPR data was acquired with a 2 GHz, shielded antenna consecutively along 60 cm radargram profile for all pipe filling variation. After acquiring the data, central traces of each radargram profile were transformed to audible format by frequency adjustment. The different sounds from various pipe fillings aided us to evaluate and determine the pipe filling as a supplementary data.
