In the biotechnological research laboratory, cell culture techniques are used to determine the effects of anticarcinogenic agents on cell proliferation using colorimetric measurements and to determine their dose-dependent cytotoxic effect alone or in combination in cancer cell lines. On the other hand, the characterization of potential apoptosis-inducing agents using apoptotic techniques and the qualitative and quantitative determination of changes in gene and protein expression levels in cells by using SDS PAGE, Western blot, immunodetection and RT-PCR systems after the application of anticarcinogenic drug candidates will be performed. In addition, the genotoxic effects of the anticarcinogenic drug candidates are investigated qualitatively and quantitatively using techniques such as single cell gel electrophoresis (COMET), micronucleus analysis and ROS analysis.
