In this study presents a simple technique to minimise torque ripple of fuzzy controlled Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) drives in electric vehicle propulsion. Fuzzy control application of linear inductance SRM drives with the C-Dump Converter using an electric vehicle propulsion system is presented. The control technique is based on the control of the sum of the square of the phase currents by using fuzzy control technique. Low cost, high reliability, and competitive weight and efficiency combine to make the SRM drive by using fuzzy control a strong candidate for application in future electric vehicle propulsion systems. Mathematical model of SRM by considering mutual inductances is obtained.
