Res. Asst. Burak ÇELİK

Burak Çelik received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Fırat University, Elazığ, Türkiye, in 2019, and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Fırat University in 2025. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Kocaeli University, Türkiye.

Between 2023 and 2024, he was a researcher at Ankara University within the scope of a TÜBİTAK 1005 research project. During this period, he worked with Dr. Özgür Selimoğlu, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of POLOPTECH, on Earth observation satellite systems, optical design, and imaging technologies, contributing to the design and analysis of advanced optical systems.

Since 2024, he has been working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Kocaeli University. His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, biomedical signal processing, speech and audio processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, optical system design, and explainable artificial intelligence.

His research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence to biomedical signal analysis, speech-based disease detection, deepfake audio detection, fault diagnosis, image processing, and optical imaging systems. He has contributed to several TÜBİTAK- and university-funded research projects and has authored and co-authored publications in international peer-reviewed journals.

He serves as a reviewer for several SCI and SCI-Expanded journals, including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech and Language Processing, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Scientific Reports, Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, Optics Letters, Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence, Discover Computing, and the International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems. His reviewing activities primarily cover artificial intelligence, machine learning, speech processing, biomedical engineering, signal processing, and optical engineering.
