Prof. CEYHUN KONAK

  Born in Trabzon in 1980, he graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Sculpture in 2004. He completed his Master's degree in Sculpture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Graduate School of Social Sciences in 2006 and his Proficiency in Art/Doctorate in 2012 at the same university.

He has received invitations from international art organizations for his projects. He has produced works in 12 different countries across 3 continents, using various techniques and materials. He won 6 awards from organizations in the Czech Republic, France, Japan, and the United States, achieving the distinction of winning awards on three different continents. Furthermore, his short film "Erek" won the Best Experimental Short Film award at the 14th Adana International Golden Koza Film Festival.

The artist, who works as a faculty member at Kocaeli University, received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Fine Arts in 2018. He was appointed Professor in the Department of Sculpture in 2025. He has held administrative positions at Kocaeli University, including membership in the Senate, membership in the Board of Directors of the Faculty of Fine Arts, and Head of the Plastic Arts and Sculpture Department. He teaches Computer-Aided 3D Design and various workshops, while continuing his artistic work. He has numerous solo exhibitions and public works in open spaces.

Konak is married and has one child.
