Prof. ELİF ÖĞÜT

In 1993, she began her undergraduate studies in Edirne and graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Trakya University in 1997. She completed both her master’s and doctoral degrees at the same university. Her doctoral research focused on “Convective Heat Transfer in Enclosed Planar Domains under the Influence of a Magnetic Field.” Prof. Öğüt has specialized in the fields of fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, energy systems, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

She started her academic career in 1998 as a research assistant at Trakya University. In 2007, she joined Kocaeli University as a faculty member, earning the title of Associate Professor in 2012 and Professor in 2018. She is currently a faculty member at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kocaeli University, where she also serves as Vice Rector.

Prof. Dr. Elif Öğüt has published numerous articles indexed in SCI journals, as well as several book chapters, conference papers, and patents. The master's and doctoral theses she has supervised mainly focus on heat transfer, industrial applications of nanofluids, and numerical analysis methods.

In addition to her academic research, she has led several externally funded projects, including TÜBİTAK and BAP projects, and continues to contribute to the academic community through her roles as an editor and reviewer for international scientific journals. Furthermore, she serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Kocaeli University Technology Transfer Office, a Board Member of Kocaeli University Technopark, and a Board Member of the Kocaeli Model Factory under the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
