Abstract

In this casuistic we present a case with bilateral chylothorax and pericardial tamponade due to chylous caused by subclavion vein thrombosis appeared as a result of a phlegmon at the axillary region. To our knowledge, no such causal factors were reported previously in any case in literature. Our case is treated with repeated thoracentesis and application of pericardial drainages. Whatever the cause, pericardial fluid must be examined in left subclavion venous thrombosis. If chylopericardium is treated with appropriate methods at the right time when detected, the fatal complications that may arise can be prevented.
