Özet

This paper presents the monopole antenna design which is based on the microstrip rectangular patch (DY) element with CPW fed for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications. As is known, some frequency bands in the frequency range allocated for UWB (3.1-10.6 GHz) applications are also used by various communication systems such as WLAN, WiMAX and Hiperlan/2. It is very important for a non-distortion-free communication to prevent possible interference from these common bands. In this context, in order to prevent unwanted interference originating from the WLAN (5.15-5.825) band, notch-band characteristic is achieved with the CSRR (Complemantry Split Ring Resonator) element, which is symmetrically added to both sides of the feedline of the proposed UWB-DY antenna design. In the paper numerical analysis results of the proposed CPW-fed UWB-DY antenna design are included. We also note that the numerical analysis and design of the proposed antenna was carried out using CST Microwave Studio software based on the finite integral method.
