Abstract

An efficient method for the simulation of switched-mode converters is presented in this paper. The concept of the method is to model each semiconductor dei ice by a nonideal equivalent circuit and to use a systematic method in obtaining the circuit equations that describe the dynamic of power electronic circuit. The switching devices Permit development of a special purpose power electronic simulation algorithm because they operate in a switched-mode. To obtain a more accurate switch model for simulation, it's taken into account both static and dynamic properties of switches. Since the passive modelling elements such as resistor, inductor are constant, the system matrix is constant regardless of the states of switches. The linearized switch characteristic is obtained by arranging the value of current source in the model. The dimensions of circuit equations, which are obtained by using modified nodal analysis, are reduced the minimal one by an elimination method. And thus the analysis method becomes fast. The results obtained for a typical switched-mode converter confirm the efficiency and accuracy of the analysis method.
