Abstract

Developing suitable equivalent circuit models for multiple winding transformers provides great convenience in obtaining system equations. In general, circuits models are available for two-winding transformers. The paper proposes an equivalent circuit model based on ideal transformer representations consisting of dependent sources for multiple winding transformers. The use of equivalent circuit simplifies analysis and makes solutions more understandable. Since the model has a systematic structure, the increase in the number of windings does not affect the obtaining of the system equations. To validate the proposed equivalent circuit model, an application example, whose theoretical results can be easily seen, has been added to the study.
