Abstract

To study the mechanisms of molecular for the resemblance between inherited and non-inherited forms of cancer as well as breast cancer, here we hypothesized that inactivation of BRCA1 by-promoter hypermethylation is related with reduced gene copy number as apperceived in tumors from BRCA1 mutation carriers. The patients with mutations in the BRCA1 gene have a high risk of developing breast cancer, and the characteristic clinical features are most marked. We assumed that inactivation of BRCA1 by promoter methylation could happen to breast cancer with the phenotype normally associated with BRCA1. Using a composition of methylation-specific PCR analysis and fluorescence in situ hybridization, we apperceived destabilizing degrees of promoter methylation in 82 of 92 (75.4%) primary tumors total methylation for man and woman.
