Özet

The subject of this study is the coins of Eumeneia during the Roman Imperial period . this paper aims to analyze and utilize the data obtained from these coins.

Eumeneia was one of the cities in the Phrygia region that issued some of the earliest Roman Provincial coins. The Provincial coinage began around the 40 BC and ended during the reign of Gallienus. In the 1st century, the coins of the city continued the tradition of Hellenistic types while incorporating elements representing families and public offices. From the beginning of the 2nd century, in addition to the popular types in Asia Minor, new coin types related to the city's identity begin to increase.

In this study, apart from the published and online examples, coins found in major collections of Turkey, such as Istanbul and Ankara, as well as in local museums near Eumeneia, such as Denizli, Afyon, Isparta, Burdur, and Kütahya, are also included.
