In determining the material properties of historical structures non-destructive methods are favored. This study repons the results of the two well-known nondestructive tests, namely Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Tests and Schmidt Hammer. Tests carried out on the mortar and bricks used in Hagia Sophia and provides information on an in-place shear test carried out in the building.
