A Better Life Index was developed
by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as part of
the OECD Better Living initiative to facilitate a better understanding for
people’s well-being. With the Better Life Index, people living in OECD member
countries are measured and evaluated according to different criteria and
gender. In this context, it is necessary to evaluate whether the level of
welfare in the society is shared fairly between different groups such as men
and women, whether there is a similarity or difference between them. In this
study, it was investigated whether the Better Life Index data differ by gender,
and the Better Life Index data constitute a specific cluster by country, and
whether there is a significant difference between the clusters formed and the
GDP variable.
