Abstract

Increasing usage of OTT (Over-the-top content) and IPTV services on mobile broadband access networks leads us to find out content aware QoS mechanisms on new generation mobile core networks. SDN/NFV is key technology for future generation mobile networks. Cellular core network functions can be virtualized and programmable with SDN/NFV approach. In this work we discuss SDN/NFV based QoS mechanism based on Traffic Classification, Traffic Monitoring and Traffic Engineering methods to build content aware cellular core network.
