Abstract

This study was conducted in order to determine the symptom profile and risk factors associated with subthreshold post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It was conducted in 1316 subjects who had experienced the Marmara Earthquake. The data collected included socio-demographic features, experiences during the earthquake and risk factors associated with trauma. The subjects who have at least one symptom in each of the B, C or D clusters in DSM-IV PTSD diagnostic criteria were accepted as "subthreshold PTSD''.
