Özet

An educational experience was conducted as part of the creativity development studies carried out at Seka Paper Museum in May 2024, under the leadership of IAPMA member Assoc. Prof. Dr. E. Begüm SAVÇIN and Lecturer S. Burak SAVÇIN have been invited to participate in the Basic Art Education course offered by the Interior Architecture Department of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Kocaeli University. The process of students acquiring knowledge about paper production and related historical processes, subsequently utilizing this knowledge to create artistic designs, emerged as a result of the resonance effect of the space. Such experiences are important for understanding how the historical and cultural textures of a space can affect individuals creative processes. A workshop held at the Seka Paper Museum is an example of this interaction. Students learned about the history of paper production and then created paper designs with inspiration provided by the venue. This process provides an interesting example of how the resonance effect works within an artistic framework.
