Özet

Today, inverters are used in many industrial applications such as battery systems, fuel cells, solar cells, wind turbines, motor drives and uninterruptible power supplies. There are semiconductor switches in the structure of the inverters. Most of the inverter losses occur on semiconductor switches. If the losses in the semiconductor switches are calculated correctly, the heatsink can be selected appropriately. In this study, the conduction losses, switching losses and thermal temperature values of the two-level neutral point inverter with a power of 20kVA were calculated using mathematical equations and Fuji IGBT simulator program. During the calculations, manufacturer catalog data of IGBT module and heatsink were used. The calculations were made at ambient temperature of 25°C and the inverter was operated under 40% and 100% load. The results were given using figures and tables.
