Özet

In this study, drilling and blasting processes carried out in Garp Lignite Enterprise (GLE) open pit mines in Turkey and the effects of these processes on stripping costs were examined. In considered benches, three different drill-hole patterns were drilled for the blasting. The study has been carried out for a period of three months. In order to reveal the effect of drilling pattern on fragmentation, size distribution of muck pile for each drill-hole pattern was determined. In addition, stripping unit costs were calculated for each drill-hole pattern. The results of this study, showed that drill-hole pattern have significant effect on stripping costs.
