Abstract

It has been authored by Bahattin Türetken, Umut Bulus, Erkul Basaran, Eren Akkaya, Koray Surmeli, Huseyin Aniktar, from TUBITAK – BILGEM, UEKAE, Turkey. Antennas form a critical part of every wireless system and wideband antennas form an important subset of antennas and arrays with many applications. The chapter provides an overview of the development history, design methodologies and applications of wideband antennas, and concludes with a review on emerging trends.
