Özet

In this study, it was intended to heal mechanical and fracture behavior properties of recycled poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) by using of polycarbonate (PC) as blend component and epoxy-based chain extender (Joncryl) as compatibilizer. For this purpose, mixtures containing rPET and PC (30% by weight) were prepared by melt blending method in a twin-screw extruder and Joncryl, wt%1, was used to modify the fracture behavior of the rPET-PC blend as chain extender. Essential Work of Fracture (EWF) parameters showed that addition of Joncryil to the rPET/PC blend improved the fracture behavior and enabled the perform EWF analysis.
