Abstract

The importance of urbanization and the number of big cities are increasing day by day in our country as seen all over the world. Besides, population growth and immigration from rural areas to cities has been increasing faster than expected depending on financial and social reasons. In this context, the cities grow randomly and rapid growth cities without an identity start to appear. The role of an architect becomes more visible in the processes of urbanization when these cities, having haphazard urbanization, are examined. Where is the place of the architect in this process? What is the role of an architect from the planning to the project process? In this study, the solution proposals will be presented by determining the problems and examining the process mentioned above in order to find the answers to these questions.
