Abstract

This study aims to present the current situation of our producers who provide our country with aquaculture diversity, production, and export input, and to highlight their economic and scientific contributions to our country. Literature review, communication with producers, and interviews were conducted. Detailed information was obtained regarding the official requirements and processes to be followed (feasibility assessment) in the initial stages of snail farming in our country, communication with producers (farming and marketing, sector problems), its economic contribution to our country, processing, and market share. The place of land snail farming within the aquaculture sector and its contributions to the scientific field were determined. It was concluded that the contributions that producers can make, as well as the academic support needed in the sector, can be identified, and that sustainable and mutually beneficial collaborations can be established in the future.

Ülkemize su ürünleri çeşitliliği, üretimi ve ihracat girdisi sağlayan üreticilerimizin mevcut durumu, ülkemize sağladığı ekonomik ve bilimsel katkıların ortaya konması amaçlanmıştır. Literatür taraması, Üreticilerle iletişim, Röportaj. Ülkemizdeki Salyangoz yetiştiriciliğinin başlangıç-girişim aşamasındaki resmi gereklilikler, izlenmesi gereken süreçler (fizibilite değerlendirmesi), üreticiler ile iletişim (yetiştiricilik ve pazarlama, sektör sorunları ile ilgili), ülkemize olan ekonomik katkısı, işlenmesi ve pazar payına dair faydalı detaylı bilgiler edinilmiştir. Kara Salyangozu Yetiştiriciliğinin su ürünleri sektörü içindeki yeri ve bilimsel alana olan katkıları belirlenmiştir. Üreticilerin sağlayabileceği katkılar ve aynı zamanda sektörde akademik anlamda ihtiyaç duyulan desteğin ortaya çıkarılması, ileriye dönük sürdürülebilir ve karşılıklı fayda sağlayacak iş birliklerinin sağlanabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
