UDP, transport layer protocol in TCP/IP network, is the most commonly used with real time traffic for video and audio, excessive the packet loss rate at wireless connection is the issue to resolve for real time multimedia applications. There are a few UDP Forward Error Correction methods on real time multimedia for WLANs; like UDP-Lite, UDP-Liter, C-UDP. In this study, we suggest feeding the receiver form the wireless sender and divide the network into two parts: wired and wireless. The aim is to decrease the packet loss rate on the wireless side. Traditional UDP is worked on wired side and we generated our F-UDP design on wireless-side. Selective acknowledgement of packets is used for lost packets by receiver for a timeout period. Timeout period comes to prominence because of receiver waiting time. Estimated waiting time for real time multimedia packets is used for feeding the receiver from AP in our simulation tests.
