It has been determined that there is few studies in TAS 41 and the studies
in that are related to agricultural activities which are concerned to livestock in Turkish accounting literature. In literature, there is no study in agricultural activities which includes plants. The production of tealeaf in Turkey is important
because it belongs to production of fruit ranch as a branch of production of
plants. In addition to these, seeding of tealeaf in maturation and harvest periods
are correlated with TAS 41’s agricultural activities, accounting and valuation
principles fully. In this perspective, this study is expected to contribute to the
crop production section of literature and takes attention to the gap in this area
and the examples of plant production.
Türkiye muhasebe literatüründe yapılan incelemelerde TMS 41’le ilgili çalışmaların yeterli sayıda olmadığı ve mevcut çalışmaların genellikle tarımsal
faaliyetlerden hayvancılık üzerine yoğunlaştığı belirlenmiştir. İlgili literatürde tarımsal faaliyetlerden bitkisel üretim üzerine yapılmış makale çalışması
tespit edilememiştir. Çay yaprağı üretimi Türkiye’de bitkisel üretim türlerinden meyve bahçeciliği türü üretim tiplerinin önemlilerinden birisidir. Ayrıca
çay yaprağı tarımsal ürününün tohum ekimi, olgunlaşma ve hasat sürecinin
tamamı TMS 41’de belirtilen tarımsal faaliyetler, muhasebeleştirme ve değerleme şartlarına tam uyum sağlamaktadır. Bu açıdan çalışmanın ilgili literatürün bitkisel üretim açısından incelenmemiş bölümüne katkı sağlayacağı ve bu
alandaki eksikliğe dikkat çekerek alana bitkisel üretim örnekleri açısından ilgi
uyandıracağı düşünülmektedir.
