Abstract

Aim: This study was conducted to show the numerical data analysis of countries regarding the number of experienced health personnel attending births, the distribution of midwives/nurses in the world and health expenditures.

Method: This is a longitudinal stud, the statistics published by the World Bank (World Bank) were used as data source. The study was analyzed with Pyton program.

Results: Globally, the number of qualified personnel decreased from 84.27 in 2010 to 80.21 in 2021. The high level of nurse and midwife density in Sub- Saharan Africa was 1.54 in 2018. There was a decline in the following years 2019-2020-2021. Health expenditures increased globally from 6.92 in 2010 to 10.56 in 2021. East Asia and the Pacific, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East and North Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean remained below the global average.

Conclusion: It has been determined that the situation of undeveloped countries and countries with low income levels is worse in terms of skilled birth personnel, midwife/nurse density and health expenditures.
