Özet
Türkiye is known for its rich and diverse natural habitats, and this diversity is reflected in its fungal biodiversity as well. Türkiye, with its varied climates and soil types, hosts a wide range of fungal species, with a remarkable number of species being endemic to the region. This ecological variety makes Türkiye a hotspot for fungal biodiversity. In this study the mycota of Anatolia (Asian part of Türkiye) was analyzed utilizing recent publications. The study revealed the occurrence of 3250 taxa of macrofungi, 2060 taxa of lichens (1811 lichenized and 249 lichenicolous species) and 309 taxa of myxomycetes in Anatolia. As the macrofungi is our focus, the emphasis is given to macrofungi in the present study. Among 3250 taxa of macrofungi, 33 macrofungal taxa have been identified as endemic to Türkiye. Cortinarius, Russulaceae, Agaricales, and Agaricomycetes are the most speciose genus, family, order and class in the Anatolia with 154, 232, 1678, and 2722 taxa, respectively. Among the various regions, the Black Sea and Mediterranean regions of Anatolia are renowned for their extensive and varied macrofungal taxa. The unique climate and ecological characteristics of these regions contribute significantly to their fungal biodiversity.
