Abstract

In recent years, it has been understood that the importance of hydrogen has increased due to environmental sensitivity and will play a larger role in human lives in the future. This study provides a comprehensive strategic assessment of Turkey's hydrogen economy by PESTEL and SWOT analyses, identifying key challenges and opportunities, and proposing actionable strategies to enhance Turkey's competitiveness and sustainability in the global hydrogen transition. In addition, This research holistically evaluates both internal and external factors, identifying key structural transformations necessary for Turkey to establish a competitive and sustainable hydrogen economy. This study not only bridges gaps in the existing literature but also provides roadmap for policymakers and industry stakeholders aiming to accelerate Turkey's hydrogen transition.
