Özet

This study examines the relationship between military expenditures (MEs) and economic development by analyzing the ME of countries in relation to their level of development. The research examines the correlation between this index and other economic indicators for both developed and developing countries. Additionally, a backward linear regression model is constructed separately for the developed and developing countries to examine this relationship further. The study identifies and discusses the correlated indices with the ME index, shedding light on the economic implications of military spending. The analysis covers the period from 2000 to 2020, providing insights into the changing dynamics of ME and its impact on economic indicators over time. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the economic consequences of ME in both developed and developing countries, offering valuable insights for policymakers, economists, and researchers.
