Özet


Ülke tanıtımı için son derece önemli görevler ve sorumluluklar üstlenen profesyonel turist rehberleri, kişilik  özellikleri, bilgi, beceri ve yetkinlikleri bakımında üst düzey bir donanıma sahip olmalıdır. Dolayısıyla bu mesleği yapacak bireylerin mesleki eğitimi de buna yönelik olmalıdır. Profesyonel turist rehberliği mesleği toplum içindeki rolü, niteliği, bilgi, beceri ve yetkinlikleri yanı sıra pek çok zorluk, sorumluluk ve sorunları da içermektedir. Ayrıca profesyonel turist rehberliği turizmin yapısı gereği pek çok krizden en fazla etkilenen endüstrilerden biridir. Bununla birlikte profesyonel turist rehberi olabilmek de oldukça zorlu ve aşamalı bir eğitim sürecini içermektedir. Bu süreci başarıyla tamamlayabilen öğrenciler öncelikle bölgesel ve devamında ülkesel profesyonel turist rehberi olmaya hak kazanmaktadır. Bu kadar zorlu ve uzun süreci tamamlarken, öğrencilerin mesleğe yönelik kaygıları ve mesleği yapma niyetine ilişkin tereddütleri olabilmektedir. Bu kapsamda bu araştırma, turist rehberliği öğrencilerinin mesleki kaygı ve mesleği yapma niyeti ilişkisine yönelik öngörülerinin tespit edilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Kocaeli Üniversitesi Kartepe Turizm Meslek Yüksekokulu Turist Rehberliği Programı ve Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli Üniversitesi ÜSET MYO Turist Rehberliği Programı öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket yöntemi kullanılmış olup, anketler yüz yüze uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde SPSS 24 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde faktör analizi, korelasyon analizi ve T testinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda profesyonel turist rehberliği öğrencilerinin mesleki kaygılarına ve mesleğe devam etme niyetlerine yönelik bazı tavsiyeler belirtilmiştir.

A Research on the Relationship between Occupational Anxiety and Intention to Do a Profession of Associate Degree Tourist Guidance Students


 


Abstract
Professional tourist guides taking extremely important tasks and responsibilities for introduction of the country, should have a high level of degrees in terms of personality traits, knowledge, capability and competencies. Thus, the occupational training of members being done this profession should also be geared towards this. Professional tourist guiding profession includes many hassles, liabilities and problems as well as its role, qualification, knowledge, skills and competencies in the society. Furthermore, professional tourist guiding is one of the industries being affected the most by many crises due to the fact of tourism. For all that, being a professional tourist guide also includes a very challenging and gradual training process. Students successfully completed this process are entitled to become a professional tourist guide; first of all, regionally and then nationally. While completing such a difficult and long process, students may have doubts about the profession and anxiety about their intention to do their profession. Within this context, this research was conducted to fasten down the predictions of tourist guidance students about the relationship between occupational anxiety and intention to do the profession. The research sample consists of the students of Kocaeli University Kartepe Tourism Vocational School Tourist Guidance Programme and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University ÜSET Vocational School Tourist Guidance Programme. Survey method was used as data collection tool in the research, and the surveys were applied face to face. SPSS 24 package program was used in the analysis of the data gained in the research. Factor analysis, correlation analysis and T test were used in the analysis of the data. Based on the findings gained as a result of the research, some recommendations for professional tourist guidance students' occupational anxiety and their intention to continue their profession were remarked.
