In this study, necessary parameter optimizations for the joining of load hooks, considered one of the most important elements for driver, cargo, and traffic safety in transportation via commercial vehicles, were determined using the resistance welding method. The tensile values, hardness values, and weldjoints of the load hook form were examined. Tensile tests were conducted at a 60° angle to simulate the condition of the load secured in the vehicle. The study was carried out on St37 and C35 steelsFor Ø6 mm, 6 different parameter trials were conducted and for Ø8 mm, 5 different parameter trials were conducted; 5 samples were prepared for each and tensile tests were performed. The weld joints were examined microscopically, and hardness values were determined. A performance comparison was made between St37 steel and C35 steel using C35 welding parameters for the Ø6 mm form.
