The temperature dependence of the Cl nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) frequency in CH3NH3Hg2Cl5 was investigated for temperatures between 77 and 340 K where three frequencies were found. The Zeeman effect on the NQR of Cl-35 in a crystalline powder of CH3NH3Hg2Cl5 was studied. The asymmetry parameter (eta) of the electric field gradient for the second frequency was obtained.
