The origins of and the interrelationship between art and play have been problematized since the ancient philosophy. The philosophers dealing with these concepts tried to find answers through the theories like mimesis, ritual and imitation in particular and made the propositions like ‘art is the humanity of a playing human being”. It is obvious that playing games has been in close association with art throughout the process from ancient humans until today’s modern humans. With this study, it is aimed to provide a perspective of Modernism and contemporary artistic productions by using play methodologies. The paper will be supported with examples indicating art objects produced by using play methodologies and the process itself; in other words, the hedonic affection of that exact moment; and it will be tried to clarify the self-purpose (auto-telos) free attitude of the art and play with a brief historical information.
Sanat ve oyunun kökeni ve birbirleriyle
ilişikliği, ilk çağ felsefesinden beri sorunsallaştırılmıştır. Bu kavramları
ele alan felsefeciler özellikle mimesis, ritüel, öykünme gibi kuramlar
üzerinden yanıt arayarak 'sanat, oynayan insanın insanlığıdır' gibi önermelerde
bulunmuştur. İlk çağ insanından, günümüz çağdaş insanına değin geçen süreçte,
oyun oynamanın sanat ile sıkı sıkıya bir birliktelik içinde olduğu aşikârdır. Çalışmanın
amacı da oyunun metodolojisini kullanarak Modernizm ve günümüz sanat
üretimlerine dair bir perspektif tutmaktır. Bildiri, oyunun metodolojisini
kullanarak üretilmiş sanat nesnelerine ve sürecin bizatihi kendine, diğer bir
ifadeyle; tam da o esnanın hazsal duygulanımına işaret eden örnekler
aracılığıyla destelenecek; sanatın ve oyunun amacı kendinde olan (auto-telos)
özgür tutumuna kısa bir tarihsel bilgi eşliğinde açıklık getirilmeye
çalışılacaktır.
