Demand is the
amount of service or good that consumers are willing to buy at the specified
price level. Demand estimation is the calculation of the demand for a product
or service in the future. In this study, automobile sales are predicted by
using artificial neural networks method. MALTAB R2020a program was used to
create artificial neural networks. While determining the variables affecting
automobile sales, macro indicators were taken into consideration. These
independent variables are economic confidence index, gross domestic product,
consumer confidence index, exchange rate (dollar), real sector confidence
index, fixed capital investment expenditure and time. The dependent variable is
automobile sales. Monthly data between January-2014 and May-2020 were used in
the study. In the study, the average absolute percentage of error (MAPE) value
was 19.78% and it is included in the correct estimates class.
