Özet

The modulation transfer function is the significant metric for the characterization of digital mammography. We carried out this study to determine the effect of using different edge test tools on MTF results. Measurements were performed using tungsten and copper plate on seven digital mammography systems from two different manufacturers according to IEC 62220-1-2 standard. The first five and the last two mammography systems are identical. The results have shown that using the tungsten or copper edge device to calculate the MTF gives almost the same MTF values. The MTF obtained with the copper edge is slightly higher than the MTF of the tungsten edge.
