Özet

ÖZET Genioplasti, tek başına veya diğer ortognatik prosedürlerle beraber, çene deformitelerinin dü zeltilmesinde rutin olarak kullanılan bir yaklaşımdır. Günümüz estetik anlayışında çene yapısı, malar bölge ve burun ile birlikte yüzün en dikkat çekici yapılarından biridir. Genioplasti alt yüz görünümünü, dolayısıyla yüz harmonisini büyük oranda etkiler. Simfizin horizontal osteotomisi veya mandibulanın an terior horizontal osteotomisi olarak da geçen genioplasti, genial segmentin üç boyutlu olarak hareketle rine izin verir ve çok yönlülüğü nedeniyle çoğu durumda alloplastik materyaller ile yapılan ogmentasyonlara tercih edilir. İlk olarak anteroposterior yetersizliği bulunan sınıf II vakalarda genial segmentin ilerletilmesi ile sunulan genioplasti, daha sonra genial segmentten parça çıkartılması veya set back konumlandırılması ile makrogeni olgularında da kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. ABS TRACT Genioplasty is one of the procedures which used for correcting the chin deformity, single or combination with other orthognathic procedure. In today's aesthetic understanding, it is one of the most impressive structures of the face, along with the jaw structure, malar region and nose. Genioplasty greatly influences the appearance of the lower face and therefore the facial harmony. Genioplasty, also known as horizontal osteotomy of the symphysis or anterior horizontal osteotomy of the mandible, al lows three-dimensional movements of the genial segment and is often preferred to augmentation with al loplastic materials due to its versatility. Genioplasty, which was first presented by advancing the genial segment in class II cases with anterior-posterior deficiency, was then used by removing a piece from the genial segment or taking set-back position in macrogenia cases.
