Özet

Global warming, which is one of the most important problems of our day, and the increasing

environmental problems in this context cause major problems day by day. It is very important

for individuals to be aware of this issue and to increase their level of awareness. Many

researches on this issue have paved the way with policies and practices to prevent global

warming. Within the scope of the studies and services, the concept of green hospital has

emerged in the field of health. With green hospitals, it is aimed to protect human and

environmental health and to prevent global warming with practices such as energy and water

efficiency and waste reduction in hospitals based on sustainability principles. Increasing

awareness of green hospitals is a very important factor for the spread of the concept of green

hospital and the progress of studies in this field. In this context, it is very important that

biomedical engineers, who operate in many fields of work in the health sector, have green

hospital awareness. The acquisition of this awareness in an early period such as studenthood is

effective in making many contributions to future green hospital studies. For this reason, it is

aimed to determine the green hospital awareness of biomedical engineering students within the

scope of the research. In the research, it is aimed to determine the level of green hospital

awareness with the data to be obtained from biomedical engineering students participating in

the research from different universities of Turkey through an online survey. It is aimed to make

analyzes to increase awareness of green hospitals on sustainability in the health sector and to

contribute to the literature.
