Özet

One of the primary strategies for meeting the high data traffic demands of the future mobile network is to increase the deployment density of small base stations (SBSs). However, the presence of a considerable number of SBSs in ultra-dense heterogeneous network (HetNet) can result in large number of handovers (HOs) which could cause delays, handover pingpongs (HOPPs), handover failure (HOF), and interruption time (IT). In this study, a velocity aware mobility robustness optimization (MRO) function using technique for order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS)-fuzzy logic controller (FLC) algorithm was proposed over a HetNet. Furthermore, TOPSIS technique was proposed for selecting the optimal target base station (BS) whereas, the FLC was used for auto-tuning the handover control parameters (HCPs) including time-to-trigger (TTT) and handover margin (HOM). Moreover, several mobile speed scenarios were investigated for each user to measure the system performance. Therefore, the proposed algorithm shows a significant reduction in the key performance indicators (KPIs) such as HOPP, handover probability (HOP), HOF, and IT compared to other algorithm presented in the literature.
