Özet

Resolvers are feedback elements used in the control of electric motors for many years. They are highly preferred in many parts of industry. One of the most important reasons for using resolvers is that they are more reliable than other electronic feedback elements especially in harsh environments requiring shock resistance or high vibration. At the same time, its ability to work at high temperatures makes them preferred in demanding and harsh applications. Both integral and fractional slot windings are used in resolvers. However, no detailed comparison is given for the two types of resolvers in various features including position errors. This study focuses on the design and comparison of a conventional wound-rotor resolver with both winding configurations focusing on position errors.
