This study focuses on the development of the SAFEROUTE mobile application, which aims to improve the safety of children on a safe route and provide real-time location information to parents. The SAFEROUTE mobile app offers an innovative child monitoring system that controls the safe routing of children. The system utilizes geofencing technology to notify parents when children leave predefined safe zones and offers real-time location tracking through the integration of the mobile app and smartwatch. It ensures that the child's location is constantly monitored and the parent is automatically notified when the system detects a change. The SAFEROUTE mobile app offers a more comprehensive, user-oriented and innovative solution compared to existing systems with features such as the use of geofencing technology to ensure child safety on designated routes, mobile app-smartwatch integration, data security and cloud infrastructure. SAFEROUTE mobile app was evaluated through test scenarios and successful results were obtained.
