Özet

S700MC steel has been preferred in recent years especially in the transportation, construction,

automobile and aerospace sectors due to its High Strength, Formability and Weldability,

Durability and Reliability [1]. The micro-sized patterns created on the surfaces of the materials

improve the mechanical and tribological properties of the materials [2,3]. In this study, microsized

grooves were created on S700MC steel plates with CO2 laser. The effects of laser power

and scanning speed on the width of the groove and the width of the Heat Affected Zone around

the groove were investigated.
