In this study, the efficiency of Resinase HT enzyme on the transesterification reaction was investi-gated. Response surface methodology (RSM) was applied for optimization. After the experimen-tal studies the lowest fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) conversion was found as 71% when the en-zyme content was 15%(g% w/w), oil/methanol molar ratio was 0.17 and the reaction tempera-ture value was 45 degrees C. According to the design response, 70.83% was observed in the same condi-tions. The highest FAME conversion of 97% was found when the enzyme content was 5% (g% w/ w), oil/methanol molar ratio was 0.25 and the reaction temperature value was 35 degrees C. The experi-mental run gave the FAME conversion of 96.80% at the same reaction conditions. The model fit-ted with the experimental values with R2 = 0.98.
