Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to organize the foramina of the face and cranial vault by subdividing them into ten color-coded groups according to their location in or between the bones of this region, A chart summarizes the size, content, and variations. Each ostium is shown on a schematic view of the skull and face. A companion paper on the ostia of the skull base has preceded this work (Int J Neuroradiol 1999;5:51-59).
