Özet

Home is the center of traditional Turkish life. Planning of the traditional Turkish house starts with the design of a room based on nomadic life and Turkish -Islamic way of life. Since the interior decoration and features of the room is an expression of the hierarchical, cultural and economic aspects of household in society they are very important in respect to Turkish housing architecture. Yoruk Village in Safranbolu region, known as a Bektashi placement in the past, contains important examples of housing and especially room decoration that fit into Turkish- Islamic and nomadic lifestyles. In this study, some home samples in Yoruk Village in Safranbolu region are examined and it is the interior design features of room of traditional Turkish house which have been formed with lifestyle, believes, traditions and customs are identified.
